Crisis | Torment Tides of Numenera Wiki


Crisis in Torment: Tides of Numenera are the battle-like scenarios that present themselves through out the course of the game. They have multiple outcomes and solutions and those will be listed here.

 

Crisis

 

Reef of the Fallen Worlds Crisis (Qorro)

Objectives: Overcome Qorro and his mercenaries

  • Use the glowing turret or purple energy to your advantage
  • Talk to Qorro with different party members

 

During this Crisis you can use the turret to spray acid on the enemies or you can use the purple energy to ? If you defeat all of Qorro's mercenaries, he will attempt to surrender at which point you can kill him of spare him. If you kill him you will need to deactivate his data pad or you will die. If you spare him he will leave and ??. He will attempt to flee if you decide to not spare him so you will need to kill him before he does. You gain 100 XP for this Crisis.

Reef of the Fallen Worlds Crisis (Nychthemeron)

Objectives: Slay the Nychtemeron

This Crisis is only available if you chose to free the Nychthemeron during the quest: Beleazar and the Beast

 

Loot:

  • Awarded 20 Shin, 40 XP and Psychic Guard for defeating it and turning in the quest item to Beleazar.

 

Broken Dome Crisis


Objectives: Defeat the Thugs


The area is quite small and it is easy to get flanked. Be sure to have some Cyphers for this fight as it may go much easier. Positioning is key and you will need a lucky roll or two. Be sure to rest up before attemping this Crisis to have any chance

Stitcha's Lair Crisis


Objectives: Sneak by or defeat the Stitcha


This area contains 6 Stitcha that are relatively difficult to defeat as you get swarmed rather quickly. If you are going to attempt it be sure you are at full Stat Pools and have some Cyphers to use. It is recommended that you attempt to sneak by instead. You can use the items on the walls to create music to distract the Stitcha to help this process?

Buried Crossroads Crisis


Objectives: Defeat the Thugs


If you forced the focus of the large mirror here you will activate this Crisis. You will be immediately surrounded by Abykos. They are hard to hit, but Transdemnsional damage destroys them. They have AoE attacks so be sure not to stack up. You gain 25 XP for this Crisis.

Circus Minor Crisis


Objectives: Defat the Slavers


You will need to defeat Tol Maguur and her slavers in this battle. It is one of the easier ones as there are only 4 of them. Be sure to be rested up before you fight. You will need Rhin in your party in order to trigger this Crisis.

Slaver - Greatsword, 14 Shin

Valley of Dead Heroes Crisis

Objectives: Defeat the Cultists

 

As soon as you land here you are confronted by Klin'Kar and 2 cultists. It is a relatively easy fight,  but they do have high health so come prepared.

Necropolis Entrance Crisis

Objectives: Defeat the Children of the Endless Gate

 

This fight takes place in the Necropolis Entrance in the Valley of Dead Heroes if you decide to fight the cultists. It is extremely difficult and it is likely you will die if you attempt it.
